When and where is packet pick-up?
 Packet pick-up will be announced closer to the event day
Will there be race day packet pick-up?
 No, there will be no on-site packet pickup.
Do I need to be an HBCU graduate to participate?
 Not at all! Everyone is welcome to join the celebration of Black excellence, culture, and community.
What do I get with my registration?
 All participants receive a commemorative race shirt, a finisher’s medal, access to the post-race brunch, and entry into event activations.
Can I walk instead of run?
 Yes! Walkers are encouraged and will have plenty of time to complete the course and enjoy brunch.
What if I can’t run or walk—can I still attend the brunch?
 Yes, you can purchase a brunch-only ticket to join the celebration and enjoy the post-race festivities.
Are kids free?
 Children between the ages of 0-7 can participate without registration, however they are not guaranteed a shirt and/or medal. Youth registrations (ages 8-18) are offered at a discounted rate.
Do HBCUs benefit from this race?
 Yes. The Care Moor Foundation for Civic Engagement distributes funds from the race to designated organizations. For 2026, donations will go to the HBCU with the largest representation at the event. In future years, the Hillman Rec Foundation—founded with HBCU, PBI, and Black PWI students in mind—will provide resources to support successful matriculation for those students.
Can I bring a tent?
