Hillman Recreation Foundation proudly partners with Black Baseball Media Foundation through the HBCU Run & Brunch to expand opportunities for the next generation of Black talent.
While Hillman Recreation Foundation creates career pathways by exposing students and professionals to opportunities in sports, business, media, and leadership, Black Baseball Media Foundation preserves the legacy of Black baseball while creating opportunities for Black athletes through scholarships, programming, and community initiatives.
Together, we're investing in the future of Black excellence, with proceeds from this event helping fund scholarships and create opportunities both on and beyond the field.

The HBCU Run & Brunch is a Hillman Recreation Foundation initiative that exists to celebrate Black excellence, promote holistic health, and unite HBCU/PBI students, alumni, and Divine Nine members through movement, culture, and community. As the first event of its kind on Chicago’s far South Side, our mission is to ignite a lifestyle shift—honoring our legacy while empowering participants to stride toward better health, deeper connection, and collective joy.
